
Our 7th and 8th grader in Ms. Lynda Powell's class are getting ready to make the big leap out of Alabama Waldorf School. They recently interviewed each other (including Ms. Powell) in reflection of their time spent together here, and in anticipation of what is waiting for them next.

What is one (or more) of your favorite school memories?
Playing four square in aftercare, Kindergarten, having theatre with Ms. Gibb's class, and Holiday Faire

ASFA (Alabama School of Fine Arts)
What are you most looking forward to next year?
I am looking forward to the new school with new activities, and all of the art.

The Themistocles play, having theatre with Ms. Gibb's class, theatre in general, and Holiday Faire

the teachers and my friends, theatre, music, handwork, theatre with Ms. Gibb's class

homeschooling next year, and then attending Academe of the Oaks in Atlanta (a Waldorf High School)
What are you most looking forward to next year?
preparing for high school and free time

MS. LYNDA POWELL
How long have you been at AWS?
Since 1994. I taught kindergarten. There were only two kindergarten classes and (I) taught with Mrs. Rubin.
What is one (or more) of your favorite school memories?
All the plays that she has done with her classes. History blocks and having smart, outstanding, well behaved students.
What do you think you will miss the most?
The energy of the students and the other faculty members.
Where are you going to school next year?
Next year is going to be "unschooled"
What are you most looking forward to next year?
Excited mostly to not being driving in traffic on 1-459 in the early morning.
