Second Grade
The curriculum and experiences in second grade builds on the foundation of first grade. Students transition from the experience of one to duality and comparison.
Curriculum by Subject
Mathematics: Times tables, columnar addition and subtraction, carrying and borrowing
Sciences: Nature studies
English and Grammar: Lowercase letters, reading typed print, cursive, plays, speech recitation, and phonics
Literature: Legends and animal fables, tales of heroes
World Languages: Days, months, seasons, fables, family vocabulary
Geography: Environment through observation
