Second Grade
Building on the foundation of first grade, second graders grow in confidence and ability. The curriculum expands and deepens language arts and mathematics skills through engaging and active lessons. Students continue to joyfully discover the world in a loving, reverent environment.

Mathematics: Times tables, columnar addition and subtraction, carrying and borrowing
Sciences: Nature studies
English and Grammar: Storytelling, reading skills, handwriting, written expression, plays, speech recitation, and phonics
Literature: Legends and animal fables, tales of heroes
World Languages: Days, months, seasons, fables, family vocabulary
Geography: Environment through observation
